The COVID pandemic has brought its fair share of virtual dining experiences to the table, but few stand out above Multicourse, a new chef-driven virtual dining platform co-founded by Food Network Chopped Champion and recent star of Kitchen Crash, Kathleen O’Brien Price.

NYC-based Multicourse delivers premier pre-cooked meals to your doorstep with only a few finishing touches, plating etc.,  for the guest. Designed  to replicate a chef’s table dining experience, Multicourse brings the host Chef to your kitchen. What makes Multicourse unique is that they offer guests the ability to join virtual private dining rooms, so that you can dine with friends or family privately and safely. Here, diners have the chance to meet with the Chef privately, ask questions and learn about the inspiration behind each dish. What a great way to virtually meet your favorite chefs! You can also choose to stay in the main dining room with other guests and connect over shared interests (and delicious food). Potential expansion plans include offering a variety of restaurant-quality and highly interactive food experiences that guests can actively participate in from home.

Most recently, Chef Solanki Roy, Eleven Madison Park Alum, former Executive Pastry Chef at Gaggan in Bangkok and Pastry Chef for the stars created a four Korean themed dinner with wine pairings. Their next dinner scheduled on March 13 with Chef Kathleen O’Brien Price will be a spin-off of the Irish themed meal that earned her title of Chopped Champion. The meal, featuring Irish Soda Bread, Leek Soup, Roasted Lamb Shank and Caramel Apple Trifle will be paired with craft beers from Big aLICe Brewing Co.

Multicourse is also focused on spirit and wine pairings. Their Sommelier, Carrie Lyn Strong, has curated wine for Jean Georges’ Mercer Kitchen and Vong and has held a Wine Spectator Best of Excellence Award for six consecutive years. In addition to Big aLICe Brewing Co., they have also collaborated with Bulleit Whiskey, Other Half  Brewing and Gun Hill Brewery with more partnerships in the works.

On average, per person dinners range between $80 – $150 depending on the addition of beer/wine pairings (guest’s choice) and are delivered to your home, fresh on the day of the event.

With the uncertainty of restaurant dining, there has been a tremendous surge in food delivery, ghost kitchens and all things virtual. These seem to be the only growth areas in the industry.
