The Five Diamond Award-winning St. Regis Deer Valley will offer the “St. Regis Barrel Select Gin” to guests this summer and fall, the result of a partnership with award-winning, Park City-based Alpine Distilling. Available exclusively at the hotel, a limited run of two barrels of the gin were produced and the spirit will come in custom-designed Sego lily glass bottles, paying homage to Utah’s official state flower. The bottles themselves are hand labeled and corked with German-engineered walnut bar stoppers. Guests will have the opportunity to savor the spirit at the iconic St. Regis Bar during starting in early September.

The “St. Regis Barrel Select Gin” has a bold juniper-forward and intensely floral profile, incorporating notes of coriander, cardamom, angelica root, orris root, lemon peel and licorice root. Before distillation, the mash is soaked with Brazilian and Nicaraguan coffee beans to add a touch of acidity and is aged in new American oak barrels with reverse-osmosis deionized water, adding a slightly tannic note for a remarkably dry finish.
“The considerable time we invested in the three-day distillation process and months-long barrel aging before going into this beautiful, custom Sego-lily-shape bottle mirrors the extraordinary care and attention with which St. Regis welcomes its guests,” said Distiller Sara Sergent. “It’s my hope that whether you try the St. Regis Barrel Select Gin in a classic Collins, French 75, a stirred martini or an original St. Regis creation, you will enjoy this little sip of Park City life.”
