Tekisha Collins of Indianapolis reigns as THE SUPERMARKET SUPERSTAR GRAND PRIZE WINNER! She surpassed all odds! Collins is now preparing for her whirlwind “Smoogy” Tour beginning with New York City!

Making her way as one of three finalists, Collins persevered as the Inaugural SUPERMARKET SUPERSTAR! She amazed the celebrity judges, Chef Vintner, specialty foods pioneer Michael Chiarello and America’s cookie mogul, Debbie Fields during a nail-biting season finale that aired Thursday evening on Lifetime Network!

Collins, taking the advice of her celebrity judges and mentors prepared a second and new recipe, the Chocolate Fudge Smoogy! She nervously presented this new frozen cookie recipe and her original lemon delight, to, Sam Martin, CEO and Tom Dahlen, buyer for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) with the hope of becoming the grand prize winner and realizing her dream of her 100 year-old family recipe being launched in A&P supermarkets and their affiliated chains nationwide. Her dream came true as she convinced Sam Martin and Tom Dalen her “Smoogy” will appeal to all ages and, amazing Martin and Dalen with the incredibly delicious and marketable “Smoogy”!

About Collins:
A wife and mother of two with an entrepreneurial spirit, Collins put an amazing twist on a 100 year-old family recipe, turning it into a reality show sensation. After losing her job, Collins decided she had to come up with a way to help provide for her family. She has spent over two years attempting to produce her frozen cookie delight, the Smoogy, which was named by her son. Like ABC’s “Shark Tank,” each episode’s winner will receive an investment in their product, plus a chance to return for the season finale. The surviving contestants must create professional packaging to present their product to Tom Dahlen, buyer for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) who will determine the winner of each episode. Sam Martin, A&P CEO and Dahlen then determine the final selection of the Grand Prize Winner and Lifetime’s Network, Supermarket Superstar during the season’s finale.
