Looking for fun this summer? Head to Downtown Napa for festive events that are fun for the whole family – summer events include The Main Street Reunion Car Show, Blues, Brews & BBQ and the Napa River Wine & Crafts Fair.
The Main Street Reunion Car Show will take place on Saturday, August 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First and Main Streets downtown. The event features 400 pre-1976 cars, all on display in Downtown Napa and this year’s event will also feature motorcycles. The car show is hosted by the Downtown Napa Association and the Napa Valley Cruisers Car Club. Parking and admission are free. Car owners are encouraged to participate and show off their prized possession. Registration to show a car is $40. Dennis Gage from My Classic Car will be in attendance and awards will be given out in 30 categories including Best of Show and The Publishers Award.
Blues, Brews & BBQ will take place on Saturday, August 25 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and feature all the elements one would expect – three musical stages, 20 microbrews and plenty of BBQ to go around, including ribs, chicken, oysters, corn and pork. The music stages will feature a variety of music, including the J.C. Smith Band, California Honeydrops, Bluestate Band and Wingnut Adams. The Bounty Hunter Rib Eatin’ Contest provides local pork lovers the opportunity to chow down in an attempt to munch the title away from last year’s champion. Additionally, event sponsor Blue Moon Brewery will lead the charge at the Backyard Beer Garden, set to include brews that beer drinkers don’t normally get to taste, including two from Blue Moon and 20 others. Admission to the event and parking is free. Tastes of all beers will be available for purchase to those 21 and over.
