PORTLAND, Ore. (July 2, 2015) – Son of a Biscuit turns one and is throwing a party not to be missed! On Monday, July 6 from 3-7pm, Son of a Biscuit will be giving away a complimentary drumstick, coleslaw, and biscuit in celebration of the its first birthday and National Fried Chicken Day. The Southern-inspired fried chicken restaurant opened its door on June 25, 2014, bringing high-quality fried chicken to the bustling Division neighborhood. National Fried Chicken Day recognizes the American favorite each year on July 6.
Known for their crispy chicken and buttery biscuits, Son of a Biscuit was recognized by The Oregonian and Eater as having some of the most “finger lickin’ chicken” in Portland. Portland Monthly called the namesake biscuits “one of the very best biscuits in town” and Thrillist named Son of a Biscuit one of the best new restaurants in Portland.
