Due to increased exhibit space demand, an additional hall will be used for the second staging of ProWine China, providing 50% more space. This leading trade fair for wines and spirits in China will take place from November 12 – 14, 2014 in the SNIEC exhibition center in Shanghai. ProWine China will be held alongside FHC China, the country’s leading trade fair for imported food.
The first edition of ProWine China in November 2013 (570 wine and spirit producers from 30 nations presented their products to 7,650 trade visitors from China and Asia) was praised highly by exhibitors and visitors for its internationality and professionalism. The current level of exhibitor registrations for ProWine China 2014 confirms the success of the premiere: a large majority of the exhibitors are expanding their trade fair presence – such as the country participation from Austria, Germany, Italy and Mexico. Wines of South Africa will be featured on double the exhibit space compared to 2013. With some 8,600 square feet, France will have the largest country participation at ProWine China 2014, followed by the national joint stands of Argentina and Spain. With expanded exhibition space, more than 60 Spanish winegrowers will participate in ProWine China 2014, thereby showcasing the largest presentation of Spanish wines in Mainland China.
In addition to the the large country participation, numerous individual exhibitors from Australia, Canada, Chile, Great Britain, Greece and Italy as well as Sweden, the Ukraine and the U.S. have signed up. Chinese distributors have also secured their space in the upcoming trade fair. The organizers are again expecting exhibitors from some 30 nations to participate in ProWine China 2014 and urge international wine and spirits producers seeking business links in the growing Chinese wine market to register soon. Exhibitors can choose from four different stand options – from space alone to a complete package including furniture, lighting and a storage area (prices per square meter range from US$ 410 to US$ 530.) Exhibitor registrations are online at www.prowinechina.com.
