IdeaWork Studios Creates Corporate Online Presence for Chef Daniel Boulud
IdeaWork Studios has developed and launched the corporate website for celebrated chef, Daniel Boulud, which serves as the central hub for Mr. Boulud’s culinary and philanthropic ventures. IdeaWork, widely recognized interactive and branding specialists for the hospitality industry, was initially tapped to design and develop the website for Daniel Boulud’s DBGB restaurants, for which the agency injected the soul of the venue’s unique personality online, setting the scene for diners digitally.
Following the highly successful launch of DBGB.com, IdeaWork Studios was once again selected by Chef Boulud, this time to rebrand his corporate online presence, DanielBoulud.com. IdeaWork has created a bespoke digital experience as unique as the chef himself, articulating visually the qualities of the chef’s vibrant brand and outspoken, engaging personality. The bold stylistic typography is employed as a graphic in and of itself, highlighting imagery of the chef, as well as his creations, events, restaurants, and activities.
“Chef Boulud’s endeavors are incredible, and incredibly extensive, so functionally, we needed the corporate site to give each of the chef’s many projects their own presence within the site, but without overwhelming visitors,” says Jay Schwartz, founder and chief creative officer of IdeaWork Studios. “From a design perspective, our approach was to have users get to know Daniel Boulud – a timeline allows visitors to learn about his career – but also convey his larger-than-life personality, from his food to his charisma to his philanthropy.”
