Papi Jocho’s Street Dogs and Cantina will launch its first restaurant location on May 5th, 2020. The concept will focus on Mexican-inspired street dogs and is designed to be a Fast Casual Restaurant with endless energy and an edgy personality. Papi Jocho’s, conceptualized by the owners of the popular Agave & Rye Tequila and Bourbon Hall, launches at a time many restaurants are learning how to adapt to the current pandemic. Instead, the new restaurant will cater to the unique experience many Americans are facing today — and beyond.
Papi Jocho’s downtown Covington restaurant lends itself to guests who prefer to order delivery or carryout and will feature a menu of traditional and non-traditional Mexican street food. Inspired by the on-the-go dishes found on the streets of Mexico, the menu features street dogs topped with fresh, house-prepared ingredients such as grilled shrimp, onions, cilantro, Chili de Arbol salsa and queso Oaxaca — as found on the Camrones Gubanador Papi Jochos. Diners can also experience Papi’s all-beef hot dog topped with grilled pork, onions, cilantro and pineapple salsa — as found on the Al Pastor Papi Jochos. Among its robust food offerings, guests will also be able to enjoy a full range of house-made sangrias and margaritas.
“It’s been a thrill to bring the concept for Papi Jocho’s to life. Now, more than ever, we know it can bring a little levity to the Covington community,” shares Yavonne Sarber, Founder of Papi Jocho’s and Agave & Rye. “We want to provide a dining experience unlike any other — whether guests are ordering delivery, carryout or dining in, once that’s an option. We know Papi Jocho’s will be a much-needed piece of excitement amidst the current pandemic.”
