Hydro Flask Appoints Industry Veteran Mike
Wallenfels as Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Bend, OR (May 14, 2015) – Hydro Flask—the award-winning leader in high-performance, insulated stainless steel flasks—is excited to announce the hire of Mike Wallenfels as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Wallenfels brings vast executive experience from the outdoor and active lifestyle industries, and has guided organizational growth in the US, European, and Asian markets.
During his term as President of Mountain Hardwear and Montrail, Wallenfels guided the rapid expansion into new international markets and additional product categories. He also oversaw each brand’s marketing and direct retail efforts, resulting in over $100 million in global sales. In 2009, Wallenfels stepped away from Mountain Hardwear and Montrail to join Timbuk2 Designs as its CEO, where he led re-organization efforts and guided their wholesale, international, eCommerce, direct retail expansion, and corporate sales efforts.

As VP of Worldwide Sales for Hydro Flask, Wallenfels will lead the company’s global expansion efforts and continued revenue growth. In addition to his role on the senior leadership team, Wallenfels also serves as on the board for the nonprofit Big City Mountaineers. Away from the office, Mike is an avid climber, mountain biker, skier and angler, and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife and three children.
