Frios Gourmet Pops are made daily in our corporate headquarters in Mobile, Alabama. It is a company that started in a garage in Gadsden, Alabama, and in three short years is now a successful franchise with close to 40 locations across the US. Our current CEO saw the company’s potential and went from franchisee in May 2018 to owner in December 2018. He quickly made changes that would give our franchisees a better support system, startup process, and overall success. Our efforts are proving effective as we continue to grow and were even listed in Entrepreneur magazine this year as one of the fastest growing franchises in the nation. In other words, we went from a few pop recipes and a push cart to becoming one of the largest frozen novelty franchise companies in the nation!
From Garage to 40 Locations: Franchise Success
Frios strives for quality across the board, both in ingredients and customer service. We have around 30-40 flavors available for order each month from two categories of pops: fruity and creamy. Eighteen signature flavors are available year-round, and a carousel of others that we change out each month provide exciting, new flavors for every season. For instance, we are currently offering pumpkin spiced latte and pumpkin cheesecake as we enter the fall season, and at Christmas we will have flavors ginger bread cookie, eggnog, and chocolate peppermint. Our fruity pops are all gluten free, dairy free, and vegan and we have “No sugar added” flavors as well. The fruity pops are made with real fruit and real cane sugar which is something that both parents and kids appreciate these days. My favorite fruity flavor is the Zesty Orange pop. It tastes like a juicy, cold, Florida Orange that is to die for! On the creamy side of the menu we have more of our decadent, ice cream type pops. Key lime Pie is loaded with real lime zest, a creamy smooth texture, and a graham cracker crust. Any of our cheesecake flavors are going to make an impression as well. Our flavors taste just like their names suggest with less guilt and the convenience of a pop.
