Don Sebastiani & Sons is aggressively focusing on their premium tequila brands by hiring renowned mixologist and spirits industry veteran, Bonnie Wilson, to the newly designated role of Spirits Manager.
Bonnie will solely focus on developing brand strategy and sales behind Don Sebastiani & Sons’ growing spirits portfolio which includes, Contigo Tequila and El Macho Tequila as well as other tequila and spirit brands the company is currently developing.

According to Distilled Spirits Council, 2018 marked the ninth straight year of record spirits sales and volumes with the top two key category drivers as American Whiskey (up 6.6 percent) and Tequila (up 10.2 percent). In addition, recent data from retail analyst, Nielsen, showed Margaritas are highest on the list of most valuable cocktail in the on-premise category, and the tequila-based drink was the top choice of US consumers at 56 percent.
“We see a huge opportunity with our spirits portfolio,” said President, Donny Sebastiani. “And having Bonnie join the team to exclusively focus on this growth initiative for our company is imperative to reach our goals. With her extensive history in the spirits industry along with her creativity and laser-focus on winning, there is no doubt we are going to achieve great things with our brands,” he added.
Bonnie worked previously for The Marketing Arm and FrontBurner Restaurants. She comes to Don Sebastiani & Sons with rich history in the spirits, craft cocktail and mixology industries. She is a “Cocktail Artist” with Food Story Brands and her grenadine is sold at over 4,000 retail stores. She is BAR-Ready certified with Beverage Alcohol Resource and a Certified Spirits Specialist with the Court of Master Sommeliers. Bonnie is also a 9-year member of the United States Bartender’s Guild, and a USBG Spirits Professional.
